Learning the right way
Learning is something really important and is fundamental for a correct growth.
We all grow from our experience and part of this experience comes from learning.
The difficult things to acquire the correct way to learn.
A basic way of getting this understanding is to develop a clear path of where you want to get. This is not an easy task to do because requires a little bit of method.
You may try staring from those questions
- Where do you want to get in terms of knowledge and competencies
- How fast do you need/will to learn
- Which tools can be used (seminaries, workshops, readings,…)
- Which sources are available for each identified tool
- Are those sources trusted?
- Which blend fits better for yourself (are you a lone learner or do get better results working with others?)
- Are there any open source alternatives available?
After having grabbed all the answers and alternatives, just summarize them and covert all in an action plan.
After that you only need time and pace to achieve your results.
Better if followed by a method:
- go for small and achievable steps
- don’t get frustrated if you have difficulties
- measure results
- loop for improvement

Dealing with failure
Too many times we tend to concentrate on our wins.
Sometimes you find people always dealing with their “win rate”, without even considering those little or big episodes of failure.
And this attitude is both dangerous and unproductive.
I think that by paradox, failure is something positive and that should be valued and taken into account, because is a moment of growth (You learn from unsuccessful situations) and a moment to keep your feet on the ground.
Of course if everything, every time goes wrong there’s something more than a thought to be made, but I feel that valuing this little or big moments helps in avoiding mistakes and gives new boost to restart.
