I’m seeing many articles on Bin Laden death questioning if it was correct or not having him killed in his site in Abbottabad.
I’ve had some thoughts on this:
Killing vs judging
Personally I don’t care if it has been killed (intentionally or not) or if should have been judged first like Michael Moore said.
We are talking of someone that, at least had 5-6,000 people on his conscience directly and much more (in terms of hundred thousands) indirectly.
In my opinion what has happened is the best thing for him, because ended up his life in seconds, instead than having him suffering as he made our world suffer.
Why judging him before? To make him a symbol more than he was (and unfortunately he is)? No thanks! He should disappear form our minds as soon as possible.
Pakistani involvement
Again please take into account this: He was not in some strange place. He was in a militarized town.
For me this means a protection by at least part of the Pakistani military establishment.
Asking the authorization to conduct the operation was, for me, a kind of “kindness” not so intelligent.
Seek and destroy
Why are is everybody suffering for this death? When Mr. Bin Laden attacked in every case didn’t have so much respect of the world and killed thousands of people for his ugly means.
Seems to me that too much kindness and respect was used in terminating him.
But what really is strange is that by doing so the world is giving a political dignity to those people that are by all means terrorists.
At the end of all, let’s hope world is a little bit better.
