The guys at Geeks are sexy posted a really beautiful mesh up obtained via Cubiclebot .
Here it is.

Yesterday Steve Jobs, one of the most influential persons of all times in tech resigned from Apple.
Many sites have launched the news and the question of what will be the future of Apple (and technology) without this guru (among them Matthew Humphries at geek.com, Tim Stevens at Engadget.com, Michael Trei at Dvice.com, Ken Mingis at Computerworld , Geeks are sexy.net, Betanews.com).
As I wrote many times, first of all the first sign of respect should be towards Steve Jobs’ health and privacy. From now own there will be no reasons to continue invading is life.
On a operational and leadership POV, Steve leaves a company solid and well ahead of other players (a study from this days says that Apple has leadership on tablet market at least for another 2 years).
This means Apple managers will have enough time to strengthen their position.
On a financial POV Apple can rely on the first (or second depends on times) value in stock market with over 320bln USD.
Overall I’m confident that Apple will continue in its market leadership and envisioning new ideas, despite the absence of Steve Jobs.

The guys at geeks are sexy posted a very interesting and humorous interpretation of Google results representation, which I post below (full article here, original post via ilovecharts.com).
Really nice…and representative of how much information is accumulating on the net.

The guys at geek.com (full article here) published a description of Gagarin first flight originally from space.com.
You can find it below. I’m surprised how much was done with so little tools and I’m amazed of those pioneers pride and courage that should be an example for all of us.

The guys at geeks are sexy post an article from Bill Hammack of engineerguy.com on “[...] how “queueing theory” – originally developed by engineers to route phone calls – can be used to design efficient check out lines, and why, in stores with non optimized lines, the other lines always seem to move faster[...]” (full article at http://www.geeksaresexy.net/2010/12/22/why-the-other-line-is-likely-to-move-faster-video).
I don’t know if this helps in making the queue with patience or only to jump from a queue to another.
Natania at geeks are sexy writes an article on which I agree and that would have been strange 10 years ago: CNN (http://money.cnn.com/2010/07/21/technology/apple_microsoft_earnings/index.htm) reportts that Apple is, at the moment, the most valuable tech company (more the Microsoft) (full article at http://www.geeksaresexy.net/2010/07/22/apple-poised-to-top-microsoft-this-quarter/).
Is very strange seen at the moment, but I think is the prize for the real breakthrough of Apple products.
I’m not a “taliban” of Apple products, but, I admit, that they brought great accelleration in my life (e.g. iphone succeded in making me paperless more tha all other smart phones and PDA in last decade).

Jlister at Geeks are sexy and Jesus Diaz at Gizmodo report thats there’s an ongoing lawsuit for problems related to iPhone 4G (full articles at http://www.geeksaresexy.net/2010/07/01/iphone-4-problems-theres-a-lawsuit-for-that/ and at http://gizmodo.com/5577010/first-iphone-4-class-action-suit-filed-against-apple-and-att).
The article says that “[...]
The lawsuit formally names Kevin McCaffrey and Linda Wrinn of Maryland as the plaintiffs. If the application to become a class action case is successful, there’d be a single trial where the outcome would apply to any US iPhone 4 buyer who added their name to the case.
Whatever the merits of the case, it’s fair to say the lawyers involved are going full throttle. They’ve come up with nine different claims against Apple:
[...]”
While I think there’s enough to discuss with Apple attitude, I don’t really like this kind if lawsuits, because seems to me that go beyond the simple discussion between customer and provider of a good.
Why are those people suing Apple or AT&T: to get back the money of they telephones or to claim some more money as a damage (in this case for what?)
Don’t we all have more serious reasons to have class actions (oil spills, violence at G20, climate,…) than problems arising from the iPhone?

Jlister at Geeks are sexy reports that if “[...] you’ve ever wanted to own a real lightsaber, your dream has come true. But safety officials have warned that the product is no toy and could cause serious injury or worse. The Spyder III Pro Arctic is sold by Shanghai-based firm Wicked Lasers and costs US$197.97, shipping to 70 countries. It takes the direct blue laser diode used in extremely powerful home theater projectors and turns it into a 1W beam. [...]” (full article at http://www.geeksaresexy.net/2010/06/16/lightsaber-becomes-deadly-reality).
I really love technology and in my mind I would like to try this object. But I’m a courious 39 years old menatlly well balanced, non terrorist man.
What if this thing will be bought by someone that aims at something different than “having a try on this gadget”?
We have a lot of problems on this planet to also think to irresponsible sellers.

Geeks are sexy reports (full story at http://www.geeksaresexy.net/2010/05/27/childs-letter-to-institute-of-physics-regarding-the-large-hardon-collider/, original at http://twitpic.com/1rjhii, image presented below).
I don’t know if is a fake or not, but in any case, sometime I wonder how can children be so intelligent.
They’re everyday a surprise and remind us how this world can be seen with smaller but different eyes.
Thanks David!

As reported by many information sources (and among them please see the Wall Street Journal at http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703559004575256470152341984.html?mod=WSJ_hps_MIDDLETopStories and the Unwanted blog at http://up-ship.com/blog/?p=6143 , Jimmy Rogers -http://twitter.com/loyaleagle- at Geeks are sexy http://www.geeksaresexy.net/2010/05/23/science-is-sexy-whats-the-big-deal-about-synthetic-life/ and at Gizmodo http://gizmodo.com/5543774/immaculate-creation-birth-of-the-first-synthetic-cell), scientists createted the first synthetic organism through DNA recomposition.
Is not a modification of an existing DNA; is a brand new one.
While on one side is really a breakthrough and an opportunity, I fear that we are going a step beyond what nature intended to have.
There are so many variables and factors to consider, that I wonder how we can manage them.
