I tend to speak a lot.
Maybe is my desire to stay in the spotlight, but I tend to talk a lot. Not an exaggeration, but more than normal.
I worked a lot to correct this behavior, since I learned during my career that listening is at least as important as speaking.
Is not a problem of prevaricating, but more of learning from (if possible) and understanding (always) from your opponent.
It does not matter if you win or loose the discussion if you have learned something from it.
Of course winning is more often what we dispute for, but always in loosing there’s a way to get off something.
What I do each time I have the chance (or the time
) from a discussion is to focus on what has happened and spend a couple of minutes to debrief by my self or, if possible, with colleagues.
